Hearing Assessment / Audiogram

Service Description

If you have hearing concerns and prior to any ear surgery a full hearing assessment will be required. This can be undertaken prior to your appointment. This will be undertaken by an audiologist according to British Society of Audiology guidelines. For patients seen at The Manor Hospital an audiology appointment may be available on the same day as you consultation or can be booked separately. The self funding fee for an audiogram (ages 4 and up) is £165. Full vestibular function testing can be undertaken for £600 (not covered by insurance). At present, the Beaconsfield clinic is unable to undertake hearing tests (audiograms). A hearing test maybe booked at The Circle Chiltern Hospital (Age 3 and up) in Great Missenden (15 minute car journey from Beaconsfield) and can be booked by calling 01494 854923. Audiology clinics are available every Monday 1.30pm-5pm, Tuesday 9am-12midday and 5.15pm-8pm. Current self funding fees are £129 for an adult pure tone audiogram, £200.50 for an age appropriate paediatric assessment and £102 for impedance tympanometry (pressure testing). The Circle Chiltern will advise on the final cost.
